Nicholas Blain MA FCA FSI CFA
Nicholas graduated with a maths degree from Queens' College, Cambridge in 1990. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse (now PwC) then joined Ernst & Young as a management consultant, specialising in emerging markets banking sectors. Nicholas spent a few years in investment banking with ING Barings before realising that teaching financial markets was as fun as working in them. He has taught classes for financial markets and the CFA® Program for seven years, including three years based in Singapore, and has presented in places as diverse as Johannesburg, Shanghai, Taipei, Tokyo, Zurich and Dublin. As chief executive of Quartic Training he is proud to have built a business founded on quality of tuition and excellence of client service. Outside class Nicholas also invests, being treasurer of an investment partnership that has averaged nearly 20% per year. His guru is Warren Buffett, who is on a distant corner of Nicholas' family tree.

Cindy Lee Schuster B.Comm LLB (Hons)
Cindy graduated in 2002 from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa with a Bachelor of Commerce and Law. In 2003 she completed a post-grad degree in financial economics at the University of Cape Town and then went on to do a Masters part-time. Cindy has completed CFA Levels I and II. Cindy has tutored macro and micro economics at the University of Cape Town as well as privately. She worked for Quadrant Trading in South Africa as an analyst before moving to London and working as an analyst for a management consultancy company. Cindy then moved to UBS and worked in wealth management before opting to specialise in CFA tutoring. Having enjoyed the challenges and content of the CFA Program, joining Quartic Training has provided Cindy with an excellent and rewarding opportunity to pass on her knowledge and enthusiasm to her classes.

Hamza Boukili BA (Hons) MS
Hamza holds a Bachelors degree in Business Studies from London South Bank University and was awarded a Masters in International Financial Management from Lille Graduate School of Management in France. He is currently working his way through the CFA Program. He set up his own e-business firm in 2001 specializing in IT solutions to meet the needs and to reap the profits of a growing market in Morocco. After this he spent two years working for the British Council as a Finance Officer before realizing that he wanted to pursue a career in the financial markets industry. Hamza has been tutoring finance since 2002 and joined Quartic Training to spread his passion for investments. Hamza speaks five languages and has lived in Morocco, France, Saudi Arabia and Senegal as well as Britain. He is a fan of Formula 1 racing and enjoys competitive sports (though excludes CFA exams from this category).

Elohor Emmanuel Itoje
Elohor began his teaching career 2002 and has taught at different levels ranging from secondary schools to undergraduate and professional levels. He graduated with an accounting degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria and has trained as a professional accountant under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He decided to pursue a career in finance and enrolled into the CFA Program in which he is now a Level III candidate. He is also an avid investor in stocks, specializing in emerging markets, and uses valuation techniques first proposed by Benjamin Graham in 1934.

James J Tindall BEng (Hons) MSc CEng
James' background is in engineering - he graduated in 1991 with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and went on to gain a Masters in Engineering Design. After a short period with Rover Group working on the MGR V8 sports car, he joined Ford Motor Company on their graduate development programme. Further to this, he spent ten years project managing the development of engine components and systems for the Ford family of vehicles. During this period James qualified as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer. James has numerous patents to his name, granted for designs for Ford Motor Co. and also independent ventures. James brings his know-how in designing systems to Quartic Training and as Director of Operations has designed robust processes to ensure that both students and clients enjoy a smooth customer service experience.

Vanessa Rucian Ruiz de Almeida MBA
Vanessa Almeida graduated in Business Administration from Unaerp in Brazil and has an MBA in Financial Management from the University of Sao Paulo. She has more than 10 years of financial & administrative experience, which she gained whilst she worked as finance manager for a Brazilian confectionery manufacturer. Vanessa recently fulfilled her desire to travel by re-locating to London. She joined Quartic Training as Customer Service Manager in 2007. Vanessa believes that the most successful team is one in which individual and team goals are aligned. Robin A Speculand - associate tutor
Robin Speculand is the CEO of Bridges Business Consultancy Int, which specializes in making strategy come alive. His work has been featured on business channels such as the BBC and in various business magazines. Robin is a specialist in implementing strategy as well as a masterful event facilitator, an engaging keynote speaker and author of Bricks to Bridges - Making Your Strategy Come Alive and Turning It On - Sure-Fire Business Stories to Ignite, Excite and Entertain. Before founding Bridges, he was Asia Pacific Regional Vice President for Citigroup. He has lived and worked in the UK, US and Australia, and has operated in Asia since 1989. He holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore. Robin is the founder and president of Business Roundtable for Innovative Management, a Singapore-based management think tank and a founding member of Asia Speakers Association.
